Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations  in 1973.

Joined the diplomatic service in 1973.

Held various diplomatic posts in the MFA headquarters and abroad.

1973-1975 – Syria.

1983-1988 - Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

1991 – 1995 – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

1998-2000 – Ambassador to United Arab Emirates.

2000-2004 - Ambassador to Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

2004 – December 2006 – Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign  Affairs of the Russian Federation.

December 2006 – September 2011 - Ambassador to Syrian Arab Republic. 

Since September 2011 - Ambassador Extraordinary and  Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Arab Republic of  Egypt.

Since September 2011 - Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian Federation to the Arab League.

Holds diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Speaks Arabic, French and English.

Married, with a son and daughter.
